  • Brian Welch, Vice President

    With a deep passion and love for hunting on Martha’s Vineyard, Brian has dedicated his time and efforts to promoting and preserving the rich tradition of hunting on the island. Serving as Vice-President of the MV Rod & Gun Club, coupled with his unwavering dedication to MV Hunt Club, Brian has made a resounding impact on the hunting community on the island. Through his vision and committment, he has ensured that the clubs remain as vibrant and cherished institutions for generations of hunters to come.

  • Brian Athearn, Property Acquisitions & stand manager

    Born and raised in this tight-knit community, Brian has deep roots and a profound understanding of the island’s unique charm and character. With a strong comitment to making a positive impact on his hometown and community, Brian has actively participated in local initiatives and community-driven projects, from serving as a founding member of the Martha’s Vineyard Chapter of the Massachusetts Farm Bureau to serving as president of the Martha’s Vineyard Agricultural Society. It is no surprise that he is a former recipient of the Spirit of the Vineyard Award.

  • Mark Conklin, Event Coordinator

    Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mark’s warm and personable nature enables him to forge meaningful connections with club members and guests. His ability to build lasting relationships is a testament to his dedication to the club and his genuine passion for creating unforgettable moments for it’s members. Mark brings an unrivaled combination of expertise, creativitiy, and genuine love for the hunting tradition. With his commitment to delivering exceptional experiences, Mark has quickly become an indispensable member of the club’s team.

  • Rob Petie, Morale Maker

    Introducing the man also known as “Billy Jole”, the club’s resident comedian who brings laughter and light-heartedness to every event. With his quick wit, infectious humor, and love for the hunting community, Rob has become a cherished member of the club’s entertainment roster. His natural ability to find humor in everyday situations, combined with his genuine passion for the outdoors, led him to blend his two passions- comedy and hunting. What sets Rob apart is his ability to seamlessly weave hunting-related experiences into his comedic routines. From comical practical jokes to humurous encounters with wildlife, Rob’s stories resonate with avid hunters, eliciting uproarious laughter and creating a sense of camaraderie during club events.

  • Lucia Capece, Intern

    Born and raised in West Tisbury, Lucia has grown up surrounded by the beauty of Martha’s Vineyard and was absorbed into the hunting community when she was only 5 years old. As an intern for MV Hunt Club and under the guidance of experienced hunters and mentors, she has been honing her hunting skills, learning the intracasies of scouting, tracking, butchering, and processing. Immersing herself in the day-to-day operations of the club, her dedication and eagerness to learn have not only endeared her to the team but have also inspired other young women at the club.

  • Charley, Club Mascot

    Introducing Charley, the extraordinary blood tracking dog of MV Hunt Club. Charley has become an invaluable member of the club, assisting hunters in recovering game and ensuring ethical and responsible hunting practices.

    Equipped with an incredible nose, Charley has the remarkable ability to follow the faintest scent trails, even over long distances and challenging terrains. His unwavering focus and tireless work ethic make him an invaluable asset to the hunters of the club, providing them with the peace of mind that comes with knowing they have a skilled and reliable partner by their side. He forms a strong bond with the hunters he assists, demonstrating the importance of responsible hunting practices and ethical game recovery.
